Now you get to learn a few more details about our special day! The Date ~ We decided on September 1st, 2003, as the date of our wedding because we met on September 1st , 2000. We started really dating shortly after that, but we have always held that date as the significant start of our relationship. I even proposed to Sarah when we first met. It was because she liked the same kind of incense (Nag Champa) that I burned a lot of! As you can see, I'm a man of my word! The Actual Wedding ~ Early in the morning on September 1st, 2003, Sarah and I, along with a small group of family and friends, will take a short trip to Frankfort Mineral Springs in Raccoon Township. With a very special person doing the ceremony, we plan to have a very unique and intimate affair! What Sarah Will Wear ~ Sarah will be wearing a Peggy Adams Wedding Dress! Yes, as we are sticklers for creativity and uniqueness, Sarah's Mom will fashion a remarkable dress from fabric they bought a few weeks ago. Sarah's shoes will be a Sarah Adams Original! She has acquired a pair of basic shoes that she has magically transformed (ala Cinderella) into a beautiful fashion statement. Flowers are by Denise. What Paul Will Wear ~ My clothing of choice is going to be a highly guarded secret, but I will post pictures afterwards for all to see! I will wear a boutonniere by Denise. Our Rings ~ The story about our rings goes back to each of our teenage years, well before we knew each other. Interestingly enough, we both picked, or better yet fell in love, with the same exact rings when we were younger! They will be a pair of handcrafted James Avery rings engraved with an inscription in Hebrew from the Song of Solomon saying: "My Beloved is mine and I am his/hers." The Celebration ~ Due to the intimate nature of the specific location at which we are having the ceremony, we have decided to invite the majority of our friends and family members to celebrate our marriage at War Memorial Park in Sewickley after the ceremony. What Friends Should Wear ~ Be comfortable! Be yourself! If you feel most comfortable in a suit and tie, go for it, but know that you may be the only one that dressed up! Also, dress for the weather (it may be very warm that day -- we want you to be cool and comfortable!) About the Pot Luck ~ We are asking our guests to bring their favorite dish and the recipe. Don't feel that you have to feed everyone with your dish; if the recipe feeds 6 people, go ahead and bring it. The Honeymoon ~ I've never been to the ocean. I know it sounds amazing. Our first wedding description when we though about marriage was to actually get married at the ocean. But because we wanted certain family members to be part of the ceremony we decided to go with the location above for the marriage and go to Rehoboth Beach for the honeymoon. We have decided to stay in a nice, small and cozy Inn only five miles from the ocean. I am extremely excited about this get away from our daily lives and to spend some quite alone time with Sarah on the beaches watching the sunset! Thanks for taking the time to read the following information regarding our wedding.
